In 1997, Silver FM hosted an inter-school quiz challenge. Schools entered teams,
and a different team came into the studios each day to take part. Joy was the quizmaster,
and she asked the teams several rounds of questions live on air on topics ranging
from science to geography and of course general knowledge!
The quiz lasted
a whole week and was very successful. On the last day of broadcasting in 1997, Joy
decided to run a quiz especially for the presenters and staff at Silver FM. We all
gathered in what became a rather cramped studio for a quick fire succession of questions.
The prize... to be gunged in messy porridge... The winners? Well, Dave and Glen of
